Chevron is Alan
(vocals), John (drums), Graham (guitar) and Jeff (bass). They are much in demand
in the Kent and Sussex area playing a mixture of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Country, Swing,
Skiffle and anything else that takes their fancy on the night. Alan’s stirring
rendition of Postman Pat at a garden party is still much talked about – mostly
by the other members of the band! They have a wide repertoire – the playlist
gives an idea of their range.
Alan: Co-founder of the band with Graham. Multi talented and modest, Alan is Chevron’s charismatic front man, and wields a mean rhythm guitar. He’s also been seen with his little ukele in his hand, and from time to time even plays banjo.
John: The man has been playing drums for longer than most of the band have been alive, although you’d never think it to look at him. His credits are too numerous to mention but ask him about Gene Vincent, Jackie Trent or The Allisons.
Graham: The baby of the band, Graham sounds more like Hank Marvin than Hank Marvin, although these days he can turn his hand to any number of styles and his flying fingers are a wonder to behold.
Jeff: Blues, Rock, Latin, Country, Jazz – you’ll name it, he’ll try it and usually all with Chevron on the same evening.
